What is the cost of tattoo removal?
Tattoo removal is based on size and color of the tattoo. A black tattoo up to 2 sq inches is $100 per session. 3 sq inches is $150/session.
Does tattoo removal hurt?
Yes, a tattoo removal session can be uncomfortable as the ink molecules absorb the laser energy and explode. Before the laser treatment, the tattoo area is numbed with cold air from a machine called a Zimmer. This decreases pain and swelling. If you desire you can purchase a prescription numbing cream to apply 1 hour before the treatment session. The nice part is that a removal session is usually less than 5 seconds long. It lasts only as long as it takes to trace the tattoo with a 6 mm laser dot.
How will my skin look after tattoo removal?
Your skin should look completely normal. Many people believe that tattoo removal leaves scars. This is not true with today’s technology. The chance of scaring is less than 5 % and is highest in darker colored skin since the contrast between the skin and the ink is so little.
